Broncos general manager John Elway met with reporters today for 20 minutes, two days ahead of the NFL Draft’s first round.
Highlights from Elway’s appearance:
- Elway gave a comedic opening statement, taking a cue from Los Angeles Chargers general manager Tom Telesco.
“Welcome to the most irrelevant press conference of the year,” Elway said with a laugh. “Just so you guys know, we’re abiding by league rules.”
- Asked about the top quarterbacks, all Elway offered was, “They’re on the board.”
Elway added that the Broncos finalized their draft board last week.
