Broncos GM George Paton explains why they kept three undrafted rookies on the roster

The Broncos trimmed down their roster to 53 players today and as always, there were a few surprises. One of those surprises was the team keeping three undrafted rookies on their 53-man roster. Heading into this, I thought there was a chance we could see maybe one make the team, but the Broncos decided to keep three of them. Those three players are running back Blake Watson, offensive tackle Frank Crum, and linebacker Levelle Bailey.

For the 20th time in the last 21 seasons, at least one rookie college free agent has made our initial active roster out of training camp.
