Broncos coach Vance Joseph and Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy go back nearly three decades. They were teammates at Colorado during the 1990 season and on the same Buffs’ coaching staff in 2001-02.
Bieniemy is in his first year as the Chiefs’ coordinator. He replaced current Chicago coach Matt Nagy.
“I think the mindset on how they play, it’s a fearless group and that’s E.B.,” Joseph said. “He’s a tough guy. To hear his players talk about him, you can tell his mindset is being pushed on that football team. He’s definitely pushing those guys to be a tough, dominant football team.
