ENGLEWOOD, CO – As part of their final cuts, the Denver Broncos reportedly have released quarterback Mark Sanchez and running back Ronnie Hillman. The team had spent the better part of the day attempting to find trade partners for both players. When nothing materialized, the decision to release them was made.
Adam Schefter first reported news of Sanchez’s release and Mike Klis first reported the Hillman news.
Sanchez was acquired in a spring trade with the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for a conditional seventh-round selection. With Sanchez’s release, the Broncos not only no longer owe that draft pick to the Eagles but also save $4.
