1. Twenty plays, no points. The Broncos became the sixth team since 2004 to have a drive of at least 20 plays and not score. A key play was third-and-2 from the Chiefs’ 8 (Play No. 19). Even though the run game was humming, the Broncos called a pass. QB Teddy Bridgewater had WR Courtland Sutton (right to left crosser) and TE Noah Fant (left flat) open, but LT Garett Bolles and RT Bobby Massie lost their matchups, forcing Bridgewater right; he eventually threw it away.
2. Playing coverage. It was a rush four/drop seven game plan by coach Vic Fangio against the Chiefs’ offense.
