Courtland Sutton came out pretty strong in a request for a new contract from the Denver Broncos this offseason, but the team has been tepid in those negotiations. Sutton sat out early in offseason workouts, but did show up and participate during the team’s mandatory minicamp.
The question is whether or not Sutton will double-down on this contract demand before training camp. In a lot of ways, I don’t blame him for wanting a better commitment than the deal he currently has. It is basically a one-year deal and a player of Sutton’s caliber who is entering the back half of his career it would be good for him to get an extension in place now before he turns 30.
