Broncos rookie quarterback Drew Lock had a much better feeling this week after standing on the practice field for nearly three months. His sprained thumb had kept him out since Aug. 19, but he’s back at practice, the first steps in being reactivated to the 53-man roster.
“It was like a dream come true, coming back out here,” Lock said. “I was starting my journey in the NFL all over again.”
Lock’s journey during training camp was leading him to be Joe Flacco’s back-up. But he landed on injured reserve and although he’s been eligible to practice since Week 7, the Broncos waited until this week.
