Broncos Donald Stephenson, Virgil Green suffer calf injuries, leave in walking boots

Two of the Broncos offensive starters, right tackle Donald Stephenson and tight end Virgil Green, suffered left calf injuries in Denver’s 34-20 victory over Indianapolis on Sunday afternoon.

Stephenson left the game in the first quarter after injuring his left calf. He said he believes it occurred when running back C.J. Anderson accidentally kicked him on a 2-yard rush in the first quarter. He limped off the field with the help of trainers and had his calf heavily wrapped. He did not return to the game.

Along with a walking boot, Stephenson was using crutches as he exited the locker room.
