The Broncos last week hired Mike McCoy and Bill Musgrave, both with old ties to the team, to their offensive coaching staff. Monday, the Broncos interviewed Richard Hightower, according to a league source, who worked with both of the Broncos last two coaches.
Denver is looking to fill its special teams coordinator position, the last missing major piece of the coaching staff under new head coach Vance Joseph. McCoy was hired last week as offensive coordinator and Joe Woods was promoted to defensive coordinator.
Hightower, who flew to Denver on Monday to interview with Joseph and Denver general manager John Elway at Dove Valley, formerly worked with former Broncos coach Gary Kubiak as an assistant with the Houston Texans and with the Chicago Bears under ex-Denver coach John Fox.
