Broncos, Denver bid to host 2019 NFL draft

The Broncos have placed their bid to host the 2019 NFL draft, in the league's 100th season.

Team president and CEO Joe Ellis said last April that Denver hoped to host a future draft, and this week he reportedly continued his push to make it happen. According to 9News, Ellis met with league officials, including commissioner Roger Goodell, in New York to discuss the bid.

Although the Broncos haven't ruled out the possibility of hosting in 2017 or 2018, the schedule fits better for 2019.

Chicago hosted the three-day event last year, the first time it had been held outside of New York since 1964, and will again host this year, April 28-30.
