Broncos defensive coordinator Wade Phillips has seen head coach Gary Kubiak at his pinnacle after winning Super Bowl 50 and at one of his weakest points after suffering what was diagnosed as a mini-stroke while both were on the Houston Texans staff in 2013.
Phillips was glad that Kubiak’s most recent episode, diagnosed as a complex migraine, after the Broncos’ 23-16 loss to the Falcons wasn’t nearly as bad as that incident, but he said the Broncos will be thinking of their coach Thursday when they play at San Diego and Kubiak is resting at home.
“We’re going to miss him.
