Broncos’ C.J. Anderson misses practice to get second medical opinion on knee

Broncos running back C.J. Anderson sought a second medical opinion on his right knee and did not attend practice Wednesday, an NFL source confirmed.

Anderson appeared to injure his knee on the final play of the first quarter Monday night when the Broncos played the Houston Texans at Sports Authority Field. Anderson gained 11 yards on the play, then remained on the ground, holding his knee as trainers came out to look at him.

He was helped off the field, but returned and had a seven-yard touchdown run on the Broncos’ first possession of the second quarter.
