Broncos’ Bryce Callahan “ready to go” after missing all of 2019 with foot injury

After signing a three-year, $21 million contract in March 2019 as one of the flashy new pieces in the Broncos’ secondary, Bryce Callahan‘s first season in Denver was a dud.

A bent screw in his foot kept him from appearing in a single game, and he eventually required season-ending surgery.

But defensive coordinator Ed Donatell said Thursday that Callahan is healed, meaning the 28-year-old will likely be the team’s No. 2 cornerback in the base, nickel and sub-packages once camp arrives.

“He’s running full speed, and he’ll be in our camp and ready to go,” Donatell said.
