In last year’s season-opening win over Seattle, Broncos outside linebacker Von Miller had a three-sack tour de force performance.
A 2019 debut like that at Oakland on Sept. 9 will put Miller in rare company.
Miller, 30, starts the year with 98 sacks (already a Broncos record). Two more and he will be only the 33rd player in NFL history to reach 100 sacks.
After a Broncos charity luncheon on Wednesday, Miller pointed out that he came up short on one career goal — 100 sacks before turning 30.
“It kind of hit me in the gut,” Miller said.
