Quarterback Joe Flacco, outside linebacker Von Miller and nearly all of the first-team Broncos players are done for the preseason.
“Most of the guys you refer to as ‘starters’ will not play in the game (Saturday),” Fangio said before practice on Thursday. “It’s our fourth (preseason) game, not our third, and we just felt like it’s the best thing to do for our team now.”
The Broncos play at the Los Angeles Rams and finish next Thursday against the Arizona Cardinals.
The Broncos have only two practices before starting Week 1 work on Labor Day.
