Every snap is a learning experience for Broncos rookie quarterback Drew Lock, but especially the bad plays.
Offensive coordinator Rich Scangarello cited Lock’s second-half interception last week at Kansas City as Exhibit A. Lock rolled left and tried to throw back right to tight end Noah Fant at the goal-line. The pass was underthrown and intercepted.
“He has to learn from that,” Scangarello said Thursday. “He made a lot of splashy plays in college and you want to explain to every quarterback that it’s just different in the NFL.”
On the play, Scangarello said Fant got “hung up” in traffic and had to improvise his route.
