Through four games, Broncos running back Melvin Gordon’s 281 rushing yards rank ninth in the NFL.
After practice Tuesday, Gordon was asked if he feels like he has returned to the 2018 form that saw him rush for 880 yards and score 14 rushing/receiving touchdowns.
“I’m not where I want to be,” he said via video conference. “I feel like I can be better. (Nine) is not better than one. Still eight guys ahead of me so it’s not good enough at all, but I get better as the season goes along.”
Minus Phillip Lindsay the last three games, Gordon has been the focus of the Broncos’ running game, carrying 19, eight and 23 times.
