The Broncos had the longest training camp in the NFL, but the team’s starters said coach Vic Fangio was on point about managing their work.
“I think he did a good job these last two weeks,” defensive end Derek Wolfe said before practice Wednesday. “It was the longest and hardest camp I’ve had since I’ve been in the league. I feel good and fresh and ready to go now — I didn’t feel that way a couple weeks ago Now I feel great.”
Fangio saw enough of his starters in the Seattle and San Francisco games to shut them down for the final two exhibition contests.
