The mystery about Broncos right tackle Ja’Wuan James’ status continued Friday when coach Vic Fangio wouldn’t commit to him playing Sunday despite being a full practice participant.
James, whose left knee has limited him to 32 snaps this year, is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game at Houston. He also practiced fully last week but was scratched against the Los Angeles Chargers.
If James is active, Fangio said there’s a “good chance,” he starts, “but he won’t play the whole way.” Elijah Wilkinson, who has started 10 games in James’ place, would split time with him.
