Broncos defensive end Derek Wolfe experienced a statistical high and a medical low during Sunday’s 23-20 win over the Los Angeles Chargers.
The high: Wolfe had two sacks, giving him a career-high seven for the season.
The low: In the fourth quarter, he sustained a dislocated left elbow and did not return.
Wolfe was injured when he appeared to collide with teammate Mike Purcell. The play didn’t count because of a Chargers false start penalty, which had Wolfe seething in the locker room.
“It’s a dead (bleeping) play; it wasn’t supposed to happen,” Wolfe said.
