The lack of Broncos defensive execution Sunday against the Jets left some to wonder whether coach Vance Joseph might assume play-calling duties from defensive coordinator Joe Woods. Asked Monday about that, Joseph said: “It’s all being considered.”
Back in the Broncos’ locker room, cornerback Chris Harris indicated he still has confidence in Woods as a play-caller.
“We just watched the game and I think I can honestly say, yeah, one or two bad calls,” Harris said. “The rest was poor execution.”
Defending the call. Joseph stood by his decision to go for it on fourth-and-3 from the Jets’ 6 with about nine minutes remaining and trailing 27-10
“There was no guarantee that you were going to get back inside the 6-yard line,” Joseph said.
