Bradley Chubb’s playing status Sunday against the Chargers “will be a game-day decision,” coach Vic Fangio said, as the outside linebacker’s return remains questionable following a nine-week absence.
Chubb played just 19 snaps of Denver’s Week 2 win over Jacksonville before exiting with a left ankle injury. He had arthroscopic surgery on that ankle four days later to remove a bone spur, and the Broncos placed him on injured reserve. That injury, which happened in the preseason and kept him out of the opener, was separate from the right ankle injury that cost him most of training camp.
