Defensive end Jared Crick will be heading to injured reserve after receiving the news that his lingering back issues will require surgery, as first reported by Ian Rapport of NFL Network.
Crick, who was inactive for Denver’s Monday night opener, was carted off thepractice field on Aug. 15 after complaining of back spasms. The DE practiced only twice after the injury before the decision was made to correct the problem. With Crick on IR, Denver went on the offensive and signed former Seattle Seahawk Ahtyba Rubin Thursday afternoon.
Rubin, who has spent nine years the National Football League with Cleveland and Seattle, was released by the Seahawks after starting every game for them during his short two-year tenure, accumulating 75 tackles, three forced fumbles, three sacks, and one interception while there.
