Broncos’ assistant Darren Mougey lands GM job with New York Jets, per source

Sean Payton wants employees wanted by other teams. When no one is calling about your people, the inference is, you probably have the wrong people.

So it should come as no surprise that with the Broncos’ success, other teams have taken notice. Saturday afternoon, the New York Jets agreed in principle to make Darren Mougey their new general manager, a source confirmed to The Post.

Mougey served as the Broncos assistant general manager under George Paton since 2022. A former college tight end at San Diego State, Mougey began his post-NFL career as a scouting intern for the Broncos in 2012.
