HOUSTON -- With the oft-stated goal of a Super Bowl spot a year from now, Denver Broncos president/CEO Joe Ellis said this week that the Broncos are positioned to spend money to in the coming months in order get back into the championship conversation.
Ellis said during the buildup to Sunday’s Super Bowl LI that the Broncos are financially healthy, with the needed salary-cap space to do some work in free agency.
“We’re not hindered or handicapped at all by any financial constraints whatsoever," Ellis said. “We’re in a good position to put a lot of money back into the team.
