As they were playing in the Dec. 1 game against the Chargers, Broncos defensive end Derek Wolfe and cornerback Chris Harris noticed the huge swaths of empty seats inside Empower Field at Mile High. Thousands of them.
As veterans from the team’s 2015 Super Bowl winner, Wolfe and Harris had grown accustomed to a packed home stadium that gave opponents a collective headache because of the noise.

The “no-show” count was a whopping 19,094, meaning only 55,544 fans had their mobile tickets scanned while entering a stadium that has a listed capacity of 76,125.
