Some initial thoughts on the Broncos’ 53-man roster:
1. Adam Jones should be the Week 1 punt returner.
That didn’t take long. Jones’ signing last Sunday marked the end of two 2017 draft picks: WR/PR Isaiah McKenzie and CB Brendan Langley. Jones, 34, is the best remaining option to return punts, which made McKenzie expendable. And Jones should begin the season as the No. 4 corner, which pushed Isaac Yiadom down to No. 5 and Langley off the roster.
2. They don’t like their 2018 draft, they love it.
The effect of moving on from so many 2017 draft picks is the Broncos decided to keep so many of their 2018 picks.
