Maybe that makes Sunday’s result feel even worse.
The Broncos said they knew how to stop the Jets’ run game. They simply couldn’t do it. And, when the dust settled on a 34-16 defeat, the results teetered on record breaking. Denver gave up 323 yards on the ground, the most since 2010 (Raiders, 328).
“It’s one of those moments where you really can’t put words to it,” linebacker Shane Ray said. “No disrespect to (the Jets), but I feel like this is a team we should beat.
