Broncos agree to terms with first-round pick Garett Bolles

The Broncos agreed to terms with first-round pick and former Utah tackle Garett Bolles on a four-year, $11 million contract that carries an estimated cap hit of $2 million for 2017, an NFL source confirmed.

Per the 2011 collective bargaining agreement, NFL rookie salaries are pre-determined based on draft slot, but some language and structural issues can be negotiated.

Broncos rookies reported to the team’s facility Thursday for their two-day orientation (May 12-13), a departure from the typically held minicamp that includes extensive on-field work. The Broncos opted to revise their rookie program to acclimate the players while trying to eliminate some risk of injury.
