The Broncos re-signed safety Ryan Murphy to their practice squad, according to an NFL source, filling a spot that was open when cornerback Taurean Nixon was called up to the active roster last weekend.
Murphy had previously been signed and cut by the Broncos three times since November 2015, when the team first brought him on to the practice squad. Murphy played in two preseason games for the Broncos this past summer and totaled nine tackles, but has not played a snap in the regular season. He was last released Sept. 22 to clear a place on the practice squad for nose tackle Kyle Peko.
