The waiver wire was fairly quiet for the Broncos and their recently released players. Denver was not awarded any claims nor were any of their players claimed.
The Broncos quickly preceded to add eight players that they officially released Saturday to their practice squad Sunday. The list included running back/fullback Juwan Thompson, cornerback Taurean Nixon, outside linebacker Vontarrius Dora, tight end Henry Krieger-Coble, receiver Mose Frazier, center Dillon Day, safety Ryan Murphy and offensive tackle Justin Murray.
Thompson is the biggest name on the list so far. He made the Broncos roster each of the last two seasons, active for 30 games, but fell victim to a numbers game this season as Kapri Bibbs made the initial roster as the third running back.
