ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- Denver Broncos linebacker Brandon Marshall, who knelt during the national anthem before eight games in 2016 and in Week 3 last season, had a harsh response Thursday to President Donald Trump's support of the NFL's new anthem policy.
In an interview with Fox News, the President supported the NFL's policy that players will stand for the national anthem or remain in the locker room and said: "I think that's good. I don't think people should be staying in locker rooms, but still I think it's good. You have to stand proudly for the national anthem or you shouldn't be playing, you shouldn't be there, maybe you shouldn't be in the country.
