DENVER - It took eight weeks, but the Denver Broncos scored Sunday on their first possession of a game for the first time since a Week 3 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The Broncos took their opening possession against the Atlanta Falcons 70 yards on 10 plays. They finished it off with a 12-yard completion from quarterback Bo Nix to tight end Nate Adkins.
It was Nix's 11th touchdown pass of the season and his sixth in the last three games. Nix had completed an 8-yard pass to rookie wide receiver Devaughn Vele on the previous play, but Atlanta safety Richie Grant was called for unnecessary roughness for a forearm to Vele's helmet, that moved the ball to the 12.
