Seahawks future. Seattle Seahawks owner Paul Allen, 65, died Monday due to complications of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Allen was not married and had no children so the future of the Seahawks’ ownership was a topic at the league owners meetings in New York. There is no question the Seahawks will stay in Seattle, but who owns the team is another issue. Teams are required to have a succession plan, but Allen’s has not been revealed. Carolina sold for $2.2 billion in May; the Seahawks would likely exceed that.
