Welcome back, Aqib Talib.
The Broncos’ three-time Pro Bowl cornerback passed his physical and will return to practice Monday for the first time since suffering a gunshot wound to his right leg in early June.
Talib had been working with the team’s trainers to maintain his conditioning and strength over the last few weeks but was on the non-football injury list and barred from participating in on-field work.
Talib will likely be eased back into practices, participating in a limited capacity at first to avoid injury.
In mid-July, Talib spoke to The Denver Post for the first time since the shooting, saying he “feels great” and that he hoped to be on the field for the start of training camp.
