Analysis: Broncos GM John Elway sees enough “good things” to be confident of turnaround after trading Demaryius Thomas

On Monday, Broncos coach Vance Joseph told his team that 15 to 20 plays have led to their five losses during a 3-5 first half of the season.

On Tuesday, Joseph’s boss agreed the margin has been thin between winning and losing.

“There’s enough good plays out there,” general manager John Elway said after trading receiver Demaryius Thomas to Houston. “We’ve been very inconsistent, obviously, and I think that’s been toughest thing.

“With the amount of plays we’ve made and the good things we’ve done, it gives me hope that we can turn this around.
