Good morning, Broncos Country.
With Josey Jewell’s departure to the Carolina Panthers in free agency, the Denver Broncos have a new incumbent leader manning the middle of their defense—Alex Singleton.
A star at Montana State University, Singleton went undrafted in 2015 and spent his rookie season with three different franchises. Down on his luck in the National Football League, he was drafted by the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League in the first round of the 2016 CFL Draft.
During his time there, he would earn CFL All-Star honors twice, the Most Outstanding Defensive Player Award in 2017, and become a Grey Cup Champion in 2018.
