Welcome back to After Further Review, where we review the rulings and judgement of the officials in each weeks Denver Broncos games. Before the season begins, lets discuss a few of the big changes in the rules and officiating landscape that may be important this year.
Rule Changes
There are two major changes to the rules this season. Most important for officials is the new prohibition on Hip-drop tackles. I discussed this when announced here. It is going be quite interesting to see what happens as the mechanics of this are ironed out, though the initial indications from the pre-season is that the NFL will set a high bar for calling this foul.
