The Broncos sent Bradley Chubb to the Dolphins on Tuesday ahead of the NFL trade deadline, a deal that not only netted Denver a 2023 first-round pick but also helped fortify the team’s running back corps.
Denver acquired veteran running back Chase Edmonds in the deal.
Edmonds, 26, is a fifth-year pro out of Fordham. He was drafted by the Cardinals in the fourth round (134th overall) in 2018, and spent his first four seasons in Arizona. Edmonds signed a two-year deal as a free agent with Miami this past offseason.
Over 65 career games (17 starts), Edmonds has 375 carries for 1,671 yards and 11 touchdowns.
