Broncos quarterback Drew Lock’s first regular-season pass was long and wide for receiver Courtland Sutton, helping contribute to a game-opening three-and-out.
“I came off the field and said, ‘Sorry about that one; I’m good. Let’s go roll, now,’” Lock said. “After that first drive, I got settled in. I was ready to go.”
And Lock, the Broncos’ seventh starting quarterback since the start of 2016 and third since the beginning of September, largely came through on his semi-promise.
The Broncos’ offense didn’t roll in Sunday’s 23-20 win over the Los Angeles Chargers.
