Oh, to be Peyton Manning, and all your best friends are country music stars.
In May, Manning surprised a Red Rocks audience by taking the stage with Chris Stapleton to perform “Tennessee Whiskey.” But that certainly wasn’t the first time he dusted off the ol’ pipes. At a 2013 fundraiser he sang Johnny Cash’s “Folsom Prison Blues” with Luke Bryan, and last year he and Cole Swindell performed David Allan Coe’s “You Never Even Called Me By My Name.”
I’m sensing a theme here — Peyton is clearly a country man. He is a Tennessee Vol, after all.
