Led by coach Kyle Shanahan, the pride of Cherry Creek High School, San Francisco arrives for joint practices Friday and Saturday with the Broncos ahead of the teams’ game on Monday.
Broncos coach Vic Fangio said the teams will be in full pads for both practices.
“There will be no tackling,” he said. “It will be just like watching our practice except we’re going against them.”
Fangio’s experience with joint practices goes all the way back to when he was New Orleans’ linebackers coach from 1986-94.
“Back in the old ‘Cheese League,’” said Fangio, referring to the group of teams that trained in Wisconsin, including the Saints starting in 1988.
