The Denver Broncos will need all the defensive help they can get against Antonio Brown and a high-octane Pittsburgh Steelers offense, which makes this next report by NFL Network's James Palmer a little troubling for Broncos fans:
I'm told Von Miller is sick and was sent home prior to practice today.
— James Palmer (@JamesPalmerTV) January 13, 2016
Miller was fully excused practice after he was sent home with an illness. He was, however, at Broncos' facility in the morning.
He is expected to practice Thursday, although details about the severity of his illness and what shape he'll be in tomorrow remain murky at best.
In other news, QB Brock Osweiler was on the practice field today and working with strength and conditioning coaches in a side session. CB Chris Harris Jr. and S Darian Stewart were both back in practice, so their status for Sunday against the Steelers appears to be a go.
