The Denver Broncos have acquired a quarterback, but not the one many expected. The team has traded for Philadelphia Eagles QB Mark Sanchez.

The pick will be in the 2017 draft and is based on playing time and production. It's based in the seventh round, although it could be higher if Sanchez meets the conditions.
Sanchez was a former first round pick by the New York Jets. He's spent the last two years mainly as the Eagles' backup. In his career, Sanchez has completed 56.7 percent of his passes for over 15,000 yards, 86 TDs and 84 picks.
The addition of Sanchez doesn't preclude the Broncos from adding another QB like Colin Kaepernick or Robert Griffin III. This could just be Denver getting it's backup. In fact, there's already a report that the Broncos could flip Sanchez to help land Kaepernick.
The Eagles had no need for Sanchez, as the team re-signed Sam Bradford and added Chase Daniel to be the backup. Getting something for Sanchez should be considered a win for the Eagles.
