NFL Free Agency starts on March 9th, and the next few days will be full of NFL rumors. The Denver Broncos will be the subject of several of those rumors, especially given the talented free agents the team wants to bring back. There's also the whole will Peyton Manning retire situation surrounding the team. With that in mind, here are a few of the more interesting rumors and news tidbits on the Broncos.
What To Do With Peyton Manning?
The Broncos' free agency plans hinge on Manning. He carries a $19 million base salary next season and Denver likely won't pay him that next year. While Denver seems likely to cut Manning, a report says the team hasn't told him that.
The Broncos haven't told Peyton Manning they'll cut him if he doesn't retire. Will allow him to decide his future & they'll go from there.

Manning hasn't announced his retirement yet, perhaps in part because he loves the game of football and doesn't want to step away. However, Denver will need to a make a decision by 4 p.m. March 9th, the day free agency begins. At that point, Manning's salary becomes guaranteed. Another report indicates the Broncos might already be moving past Manning.
Contract Talks With Osweiler
Denver wants Osweiler back, as they view him as the future of the franchise at QB. But Osweiler will hit the open market if Denver can't get a deal done in the next week. However, the Denver Post reports they aren't close to a deal yet.
#Broncos want Osweiler back. But aren't close to a deal right now. But they want him back
— Troy Renck (@TroyRenck) March 3, 2016
Renck doesn't detail just how far apart the two sides are, but did say a competitive offer was made. That's rather vague, but Osweiler's exact value is a question mark. He showed promise last season, but was still benched in favor of Manning.
Draft Options?
With limited cap space, the Broncos might not be able to bring back both MLB Danny Trevathan and DE Malik Jackson. In fact, a former agent told the Denver Post that he expects at least one of those two to end up in Chicago. If that ends up being the case, the Denver Post has a few potential replacements thanks to ESPN's Todd McShay that could come via the NFL Draft.
Indiana OT Jason Spriggs was mentioned if the team elects to shore up the offensive line. If the Broncos target the defensive line, Robert Nkemdiche of Ole Miss, Chris Jones from Mississippi State and Baylor's Andrew Billings were options floated. All four are potential first round picks.
