Jamaal Charles is not leaving the AFC West. The former Kansas City Chiefs running back has agreed to a deal with the Denver Broncos.
Excited to have Jamaal Charles join the Broncos. A great addition to our backfield, and we're thrilled we won't have to play against him!

Ian Rapoport reports the deal is for one year and worth up to $3.75 million.
Charles was cut by the Chiefs earlier this offseason. Kansas City will roll with a combination of Spencer Ware, Chacandrick West and 3rd round pick Kareem Hunt at RB this year.
The Broncos already have C.J. Anderson and Devontae Booker on the roster, but were looking to add more RB help. They also traded Kapri Bibbs to the 49ers during the draft. Anderson is coming off knee surgery, while Booker had an up-and-down rookie year. Charles will provide a veteran option for the Broncos.
But Charles is coming off a torn ACL and played in just three games last season because of knee problems. He had a meager 12 carries before getting shut down for the season. The Broncos hope he can play like the dynamic three-down back he was when he was healthy in Kansas City.
