Siemian won the starting job over Lynch last preseason as well, but the team re-opened the competition this offseason on hopes that Lynch could develop.
Denver split reps between the two over the first preseason games with Siemian starting the first and Lynch starting the second.
Lynch struggled against the San Francisco 49ers in preseason game Saturday, completing 9/13 passes for just 39 yards. Siemian came off the bench and completed 8/11 passes for 93 yards and a touchdown.
Siemian passed for 3,401 yards with 18 touchdowns and 10 interceptions in 14 starts last season, while Lynch passed for 497 yards with two touchdowns and one interception in three appearances, including two starts.
