The Broncos have the defense and if they believe they are a quarterback away from winning a Super Bowl, Keenum is a solid option. The Broncos have $29 million in cap space in 2018 which may not be enough to land quarterback Kirk Cousins so Denver appears to be taking the cheaper route with Keenum.
Keenum is 30 years old entering his seventh year in the NFL. Last season with the Minnesota Vikings, Keenum passed for 3,457 yards, 22 touchdowns, and seven interceptions. The terms of the deal have yet to be released but Denver has their veteran quarterback and likely week one starter.
