Ian Rapoprt has a different explanation for why the teams could make a deal happen.
My understand of the Joe Thomas talks between #Broncos & #Browns is they couldn’t agree on compensation. Could’ve made it work in time.

The Broncos also couldn't absorb Thomas' contract, and the team desperately scrambled to re-work deals to make the numbers fit.
