The Denver Broncos made a deal on Monday to add to QB Peyton Manning's cache of offensive weapons, initiating a pick swap in the sixth and seventh rounds of the 2016 NFL Draft with the San Francisco 49ers to land tight end Vernon Davis.
The 49ers will also get Denver's sixth round pick in 2017, per ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Here we go: 49ers trading TE Vernon Davis to Denver for 6th- and 7th-round picks this year, and a 6th-round pick in 2017, sources tell ESPN.

Broncos general manager John Elway confirmed the trade, telling reporters that Davis will be a "valuable addition to our team with his experience and leadership."
Davis, 31, has spent his entire career with the 49ers since being picked by the team in the first round of the 2006 NFL Draft. He is currently in the last year of his current contract and has been battling through a knee injury this year, missing two games because of it.
The ten-year veteran has 18 catches on the year for 194 yards and no touchdowns.
